The Malone
Golf Club is a 36-hole complex designed by
the most famous architects of their time beginning in
1932 with Donald Ross. Ross' design of the first nine
started a course layout unmatched in the North Country
for diversity.
The renowned Canadian architect, Albert Murray, completed
the first 18 in 1954. In 1986, Robert Trent Jones designed
the second 18, adding his creative and challenging layout
to the existing course.
The course is a diverse layout of rolling tree-lined
fairways with strategically placed bunkers. Undulating
bent-grass greens are guarded by the massive white sand
traps. Elevated tees with 150-yard carries over spring-fed
ponds and 90-foot drops from tees to greens make this
course a must for all golfers. An automated irrigation
system keeps tees, fairways, and greens lush throughout
the season.
